A Battle Between Allen and Lambert: Who will be the Next American Idol?
    5/17/09
Danny Gokey exits the American Idol. I don't think many expected that as Danny didn't even been a part of the bottom three. He's always safe and through to the next round. We can say that he does have a lot of fans but unfortunately he is the one to go home and didn't make it to the finals of the American Idol.

Lets talk about the two finalists. Adam Lambert and Kris Allen. Who will be YOUR American Idol? Who is your bet to win? Both has in the bottom three before though we can see that Kris does have a great number of fans out there. Kris is the dark horse, Adam is the favorite to win. I myself don't know who to vote. I like Kris as he is really likeable and cute and i see he's talent as an artist as he knows how to change arrangements of the songs and make it his own. While Adam is a great performer, does have a great voice, favorite since the start of the new season of American Idol yet at times its too obvious that he'll use he's high voice that sometimes its annoying and sometimes i'm tired of listening to it though its definitely a plus for him.

I am not a fan of both so i really don't want to choose. Who is your bet? Adam or Kris? Who really deserves the title?

American Idol Season 8: Matt Giraud Saved from Elimination
    4/16/09

Matt Giraud, one of the finalist of American Idol Season 8 cried after he was given another chance by the judges and using the one time save that the judges can use before having the top 5.

Matt cried after receiving the good news that Mr. Simon Cowell announced. Honestly, Giraud does have a great voice only that the song he chose wasn’t the type of song for him. It is too high that he got some problems on reaching the notes.

Simon told Matt that he doesn’t think that he will win the competition and the other judges do not agree with him. As for my opinion, Matt does have the quality of a great singer but there is something missing in him. I think it’s the CHARACTER. He is not someone who stands out. He doesn’t have the quality or a person that you will not forget after you watched the American Idol.

I am not sure how many people will get angry or will agree with me but for me the one should go home is Lil Rounds. Lil might have a great voice but he doesn’t know how to choose a song and I honestly don’t think that he listens to what the judges have told her. Each week the song he chose wasn’t the right song for her according to the judges. And in my observation she doesn’t do something unique, I mean the songs she chose does have high notes, yes, because that is her voice range but why not try to play with her voice and try to listen to the judge’s suggestion.

American Idol Season 8: Anoop Desai
    4/2/09

Anoop Desai is one of my favorite finalists of American Idol Season 8. He might not have the BEST voice among them but he does have the charm that people will surely see and love. He is likeable as the judges always tell him. He is something. If I am not mistaken Paula said something about him being likeable and him having something that audience will surely miss if he will not be part of the American Idol Season 8 Finals but he does have a rival with it and that is Tatiana Del Toro whom I really don’t like (LOL).

Anoop Desai was born on the 20th of December 1986. He grew up in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He is an only child. His mother is a biochemist with a Ph. D. degree in molecular biology while his father is software engineer and designs software.

While he is in high school, he founded an a capella group known as the Chiefs of Staff. When he graduated in high school, he was awarded a four year academic merit scholarship to attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.Anoop Desai auditioned for American Idol on the 8th of August 2009 in Kansas City, Missouri. He sang “Thank You” by Boyz II Men and he advanced for the Hollywood Week performances. On the Hollywood Week he sang “If It’s Magic” by Stevie Wonder for his First Solo; “What Becomes of the Brokenhearted” by Jimmy Ruffin for the Group Performance; and for his Second Solo he sang “My Prerogative” by Bobby Brown. Anoop advanced to Top 36 semi-final round.

Anoop Desai was not one of the three finalists chosen through text votes out of his semifinal performance when he sang “Angel of Mine” by Monica but then returned as a “Wild Card” where he sang “My Prerogative” again. Everyone thought that Anoop will not be part of the finals but then after announcing that Matt Giraud had made it to the Top 12, Simon Cowell revealed the twist for the Season 8; Anoop will be part of the American Idol Season 8 Finals making it as a Top 13.

During the Top 13 performances, he sang “Beat It” by Michael Jackson; which the judges think very lousy and when Ryan Seacrest asked Simon if he regret putting Anoop as part of Top 13 he actually said “YES”. Fortunately, Anoop Desai does have fans who vote him to be Safe. On the next round having a theme of Grand Ole Opry he sang “Always on My Mind” by Willie Nelson and this time Simon told him that he came from Zero to a Hero and again he is safe for that round. For the next round with theme Motown he sang “Ooo Baby Baby” and he received good comments and again he is safe. But when the theme is Top Downloads and he sang “Caught Up” by Usher the judges are not impressed by it. Judges told him that, “the voice might be good but there is something missing because when you sang the song of Usher you must take the stage as it is, own it” and with that performance he is part of the Bottom 2. The next theme of the American Idol Season 8 Finals will be ‘Year They Were Born’; hopefully Anoop Desai picks a good song that will suit his voice.

    Goodluck Anoop!!!
