    American Idol: Season 8
    3/31/09
    american idol season 8

American Idol Season 8 does have almost the same format with the previous seasons in the audition part. The new thing with the season is that they do have 4 judges instead of 3; those judges are consists of Simon, Randy, Paula, and the new addition is Kara Dioguardi.

The Semifinals part of the American Idol is different from the previous seasons as there were thirty-six semifinalists divided into three and performed for three consecutive Tuesdays. The three semifinalists with the highest number of votes – one male, one female, and the next top vote getter either male or female will advance to the finals. After three consecutive Tuesday performances and 9 finalists has been picked, the wild card round returned for the judges to choose three previously eliminated contestants to advance to the finals. During this season, the judges picked 4 people instead of three making it a final 13 instead of a final 12 which is the usual number of finalists in the contests.

American Idol Judge: Who is Simon Cowell?
    3/26/09

Simon Cowell is an English television personality, A&R executive, television producer, and entrepreneur. He was born in Brighton, East Sussex, England on the 7th of October 1959. He is known as judges of TV shows such as American Idol, The X Factor, and Britain’s Got Talent.

He is known as the unsparingly blunt and for his controversial criticisms, insults, and every word you can relate to that about the contestants and their talent abilities. He might be one arrogant person but you can see to the contestant reaction that they are waiting for his reaction as if his opinion is the most important one among any other judges.

American Idol is one of the most popular show (I think) that Simon is part of as a judge.  There has been news that Simon will not take part on the latest season which is fortunately not true or things has been fix that he is still part of it right now. What is American Idol without Simon Cowell. Maybe some aspiring contestants will think that it will be a good idea but also maybe some will think that something is missing on the show. Honestly, Simon’s criticisms and insult are one of those things that the audience awaits of course aside from the performance of their favorite contestant.

So, what do you think will American Idol will be without Mr. Simon Cowell? Where his opinion I think is the most important one for each contestant. Contestants might get hurt from his insults but then when they heard good words from him such as “It is not good; it is better.” Or “You came from ZERO to a HERO” that is something that makes the contestants jump of their feet.
